Greetings And Solicitations Ever wanted to get your own back at those annoying telemarketing callers the interrupt your dinner? Now somebody has. Buddy Rich had the infamous "Bus Tapes" - Danny D'Imperio has "Greetings and Solicitations". Instead of hanging up on these pesky callers, Danny, in the summer of 2002, decided to change things up and have some fun with these bottom-feeders. The results of this are contained in the links below. Danny, if you don't know, is a drummer par excellence, not a shabby bass player either, and ALL one-of-a-kind character, to put it lightly. Everything you hear here is spontaneous. Do not try this anywhere but at home. I would also recommend NOT playing this in the presence of your wives and/or children. Though not really insulting or abusive, it is a strong "R" rating. Regarding the M.A.D.D. dialogue: This actually took place while Danny was sleeping off a good drunk. While having nothing against Mothers Against Drunk Drivers, this "mother" caught him at a bad time! I listened to this on the way back to Ithaca from the Syracuse airport and laughed my balls off all the way home. Enjoy! |
