Nick Pauldine is Something Of Note. A native of Cortland, NY, and brought up in a musical family, Nick chose to pursue a career in music after high school and was accepted into the music education program at Ithaca College. After successfully completing his course of study at IC and receiving his NYS teaching certificate, Nick taught instrumental music in several central New York school districts as a substitute and full-time teacher. In 1994 he received his MA in Wind Conducting from George Mason University in Fairfax, VA. |
| As a performer, Nick has extensive experience as a clarinetist, saxophonist, and bandleader, performing with and leading a variety of musical ensembles, from solo work to Las Vegas-style production shows. He has worked with such artists as Diane Schurr, John Pizzarelli, Nell Carter, Nancy Wilson and others. These days he can be seen directing the Ageless Jazz Band, an 18-piece big band in based in Ithaca, NY. He also leads his own Something of Note Dixieland Band and cocktail jazz combos. | |
